It has been developed for adult learners pursuing basic technician level training through independent study, specifically students who cannot attend college full-time because of work or family commitments. Launched in 2022, our EV Technician training program offers the full accreditation of one of the largest public community colleges in Canada.

George Brown College offers you a number of easy registration and payment options to make it convenient and affordable for you to register in the Electric Vehicle Technician program.
Enrol into the full program up front or register for program modules one at a time, through our pay-as-you-learn option. Our unique registration options allow for easy installment-type payments, starting with an initial fee of $580, then registration into each of the remaining 13 modules, at a cost of $90 each.

Our students receive tutorial, technical and administrative support from Support Consultants in our Student Support Center. The Support Center is open for extended hours on Monday to Friday, 9 am - 10 pm in the evening and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am - 5 pm (EST).
Questions are always welcome here. Our dedicated staff is trained in every program to help our students work through questions about their program. And our phone lines are always open for you to call and speak with them directly.
We provide dedicated online discussion forums, where students can direct questions to our online tutor, review tutorials on previously discussed or difficult topics and interact with other students to seek assistance or simply exchange ideas or opinions about being a student in the program.
This easy-to-use, computer-based, self-paced program is designed to put you in charge of your technical training. The interactive curriculum, simulation software, student support, and online exams provide a completely flexible learning framework that allows you to learn, study, practice and complete the program on your terms
Included in the program are two simulation software products: 3DLab and CircuitLogix. CircuitLogix is a powerful and easy to use 2D and 3D simulator. The 3DLab simulation software is intended to provide provide an introduction to the fundamentals of electricity and basic electronics using "real-world" components in a user-friendly lab environment.
The curriculum contains 14 modules of theory and lab projects. Each module contains text, animations, mini audio lectures, illustrations, review questions, xxx pre-built lab projects that provides a complete introduction to electronics and electronic systems.
Once you have worked through the module material and mastered the content you will be ready to take your online final exam. There are a total of 14 exams; one exam for each module in the program.
The flexible computer-based-training format is designed to fit into your schedule, not ours, so you can work at your own pace to complete the program. We provide you with curriculum and the support but leave the scheduling of studying and exams up to you. Of course, the more time that you put in the quicker you finish.
